How P.S. Nest Got Its Name: A Story of Signatures and Safe Havens

Some ideas arrive slowly. Others land like a bird who knows exactly where it wants to build its nest.

When we (Peyton and Suzi) decided to start a new chapter in our work as home organizers, we knew we wanted a name that felt personal—one that reflected not just what we do, but also why we do it.

So, we did what many people do at big turning points: we sat down with notebooks, coffee, and a very long list of names. Some were clever. Some were catchy. None of them felt quite right.

Then one of us scribbled P.S. in the margin—almost as an afterthought.
We both stopped.

There it was.

The Power of a P.S.

We’ve always loved how a P.S. sits at the end of a letter. It’s the final note you just had to add—the part that feels most personal.

In many ways, that’s what we do in people’s homes: we don’t just help them declutter and organize; we help them finish the thought. We add the systems, touches, and details that make a house feel like their home.

Of course, there was another reason the name felt right.
P.S. also happens to be our initialsPeyton & Suzi.

This work has always been personal to us. We’re not just putting things in bins; we’re helping people create spaces that support them through life’s changes—welcoming a new baby, downsizing after decades, moving to a new city, or refreshing a bedroom so it feels like a safe and affirming space.

“A letter without a P.S. is like a hug without a squeeze.” — Unknown

That’s exactly how we feel: our work is the squeeze at the end—the thoughtful touch that makes the difference.

More Than Order, A Sense of Care

At P.S. Nest, we believe organizing isn’t just about tidying up—it’s about creating a home that reflects and supports your life today.

We work with:

  • Seniors easing into simpler spaces that match their needs.

  • Families who want systems that actually keep up with busy days and growing kids.

  • Trans and nonbinary clients seeking spaces—bedrooms, closets, home offices—that feel truly affirming.

  • Anyone in transition—downsizing, upsizing, moving, or simply craving a fresh start.

Our goal is simple: to help you feel supported by your space so you can focus on what matters most.

Looking Forward

Starting P.S. Nest has felt a lot like the work we do: sifting through what we’ve built, keeping the meaningful pieces, and making space for something new.

We’re grateful for the foundation we built as part of Room 2 Bloom DC and equally excited about what this new chapter allows us to do—bring more personal connection, compassion, and creativity to every home we serve.

We believe a well-tended nest makes everything else feel a little lighter.

Here’s to new names, fresh starts, and homes that let us grow, rest, and thrive.
