Cultural Companions

Private Museum Outings designed for Curiosity

Catering to singles, seniors & out-of-town guests

  • Explore the best of DC's Cultural offerings

A Cultural Companion experience is an invitation to move through museums, exhibitions, and cultural spaces with curiosity, comfort, and connection. Designed for singles, older adults, out-of-town guests, or anyone seeking a more meaningful way to engage with art and history, each outing is gently paced, fully supported, and centered on conversation rather than crowds.

How many people will be in my group?

Your Cultural Companion escorts no more more than 3 people at a time. This will be either a fully private experience (1-on-1) or an experience for 1-3 family members or friends. We will not merge independent groups.

    What is included?

Door-to-door accompaniment, the purchase of tickets and/or reservations, museum navigation, opportunities to rest and reflect, and thoughtful context that brings collections to life without overwhelming detail. We build in time for café breaks, quiet moments, and shared observations—honoring the idea that culture is best experienced in relationship, not rushed.

    What will you leave with?

Clients leave feeling intellectually stimulated, emotionally nourished, and more connected—to the art they’ve seen, to the city around them, and to themselves. Like all P.S. Nest services, Cultural Companion experiences are about creating a sense of home beyond four walls: in ideas, stories, and shared moments.

We will create a personalized outing that matches your interests and your desired pace.

A Companion for looking, not lecturing

Cultural Companion experiences are rooted in connection. Rather than formal tours or academic instruction, this is a guided, conversational experience led by someone trained to help people engage with art in personal, meaningful ways.

    Half-Day Cultural Companion ($300 for 4 hours)

A half-day experience allows time to settle in, explore more deeply, and pause along the way. Ideal for one museum visited at an unhurried pace or two closely related stops, this option includes space for reflection, conversation, and a café break—leaving participants feeling enriched, relaxed, and pleasantly full of ideas.

    Full-Day Cultural Companion ($500 for 6 hours)

A full-day Cultural Companion experience is designed for immersion without fatigue. With careful pacing, built-in rest, and opportunities for lunch or tea, the day unfolds naturally—whether exploring multiple museums or spending extended time with a single collection. Participants leave feeling stimulated, cared for, and deeply connected to what they’ve experienced.

    Multi-Day or Visiting Family Package

For visiting parents, grandparents, or extended stays, this package offers a series of thoughtfully planned cultural outings over several days or weeks. Each experience is tailored to interests, energy levels, and scheduling needs—creating continuity, anticipation, and a sense of belonging during time spent together. It’s a meaningful way to share the city, deepen connection, and create memories that linger well beyond the visit.
